NC State split their match weekend last time out with their second win over UNC this season. Once again, coming back from a point down after doubles, the Wolfpack won four singles matches. This marks the first time in program history that the Wolfpack has beaten UNC twice in a season.

Amelia Rajecki inches closer to history with two singles wins last week, putting her at 98 for her career. She will be looking this weekend to become just the fourth player in Wolfpack history to reach 100 career singles wins.

Over the weekend, Rajecki also moved up to third all-time in career doubles wins, reaching 94, putting her in a tie for third overall with Adriana Reami. Only two players have ever amassed over 100 career doubles wins at NC State, and Rajecki looks to join Alana Smith and Anna Rogers.

Freshman Maddy Zampardo, whose win on court six secured the Wolfpack’s victory over No. 6 UNC, continues to shine in her first season with the Pack. The Detroit, MI native is 25-10 overall, including 11-5 in dual matches and 5-1 in ACC play.

Senior Gina Dittmann will be looking to get back in the win column after seeing her eight-match win streak come to an end last time out. Dittmann only saw one match during that streak reach three sets.

After falling for the first time at home all season last time out, the Wolfpack will look to end the first-place Cavilers eight-game win streak.  Virginia comes into the match ranked sixth with a record of 15-2. These two programs have met since 1978, with Virginia leading the series 37-12. The Wolfpack took the lone meeting last season 5-2.

The Wolfpack will be going for their seventh straight win over Virginia Tech. NC State has only lost to the Hokies eight times in a series that began in 1979.
