NCIS Hawaii fans are “frustrated” by the fan-favorite duo’s absence from promoting the upcoming episode.

A brand new trailer for the next episode of NCIS: Hawaii, titled Misplaced Targets, promises an explosive face-off between Kai Holman (played by Alex Tarrant) and his vengeful nemesis. Unfortunately, the first look at the CBS drama’s return next week disappointed fans of the show who are desperate to see Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami) and Kate Whistler (Tori Anderson) finally reunited.

Fans will have to wait at least one more week before reuniting with their favorite couple.

Tara and Whistler have unfortunately been separated in this season of NCIS: Hawaii, as the former has accepted a position as a special agent on board.

His new rank would have allowed Al-Bustami to focus on another acting role, but also forced the couple to take a break from their relationship for the time being.

Many NCIS fans were disappointed Monday night when the new trailer for the latest episode failed to find the couple, affectionately known as “Kacy.”

After the new promo was posted, Twitter user @gini__us exclaimed, “They hide all the Lucy/Kacy stuff really well! Me like it, but also me like it not! (sic)

@shipswlw tweeted, “If we don’t have a Kacy reunion in the 2×13 then we’re really shut down!”

“I have my profile picture ready for when that happens. Like I know Lucy and Kate are in the episode, but will they get together/get together is the question???? »

@Jessmuir0407 said: “I miss Kacy so much. They have been taken from me for so long. »

And @SeulddeulgiChae pleaded: “Bring back Lucy Tara! I already lost her, please, I beg you! I need her back! I need my ‘Kacy’ back! »

While @kidsfromfame predicted: “The whole episode will be more about Lucy on the boat.

“And then we will have our reunion with Kacy at the end. That’s what I think and I’m sure most fans think so too. »

A new synopsis for the episode has thankfully confirmed that Tara will make at least one appearance, even if she doesn’t return to the coast.

It reads: “After coming close to a meth lab explosion, the NCIS team learns that Kai is the target of his former friend-turned-criminal and must bring him down.

Tara’s return is definitely cause for celebration, and it should mean a reunion with Whistler is somewhere on the horizon.

Also, now that Al-Bustami is back as a series regular, she shouldn’t be taking any unexpected breaks for the rest of the season.

Her co-star Vanessa Lachey recently told TV Line, “She’s still here and she’s still here.

“But we try to honor what [acting commitments Yasmine] has on the mainland and to maximize the time she spends here.

“She’s here right now, and we just finished two days of water where we were all soaked. »

It looks like there’s plenty of action ahead for Tara and Whistler, but fans will have to wait until next Monday to find out if they finally get their reunion.

Season 2 of NCIS: Hawaii continues Monday on CBS in the United States. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
