Media personality Mai Al-Eidan shared a video of the last video interview in which she met the late artist Jawaher Al-Kuwaiti, two years ago. Al-Eidan reported in the video that Jawaher’s health condition deteriorated due to a wrong diagnosis by some doctors in Kuwait before she was discovered to have stomach cancer.
In a previous video interview via Skype with Mai Al-Eidan on her program “Statement of Accounts,” Jawaher Al-Kuwaiti confirmed that she suffered from incomprehensible pain for a long time during the beginning of her treatment for cancer. She was exposed to repeated misdiagnoses after visiting many hospitals.
Kuwaiti Jawaher’s pain worsened before the disease was discovered at the end of 2019, but she discovered that the cancer had also affected her liver. She indicated that her failure to undergo the necessary tests, x-rays, and endoscopy to detect cancer led to a delay in early detection of the infection and a subsequent deterioration in her health condition.
Jawaher Al-Kuwaiti, who was very satisfied with the results she had achieved after suffering from cancer, expressed her thanks to God every moment for this challenge, and expressed her great hope for recovery at that time. She received more than fifty doses of chemotherapy within just one year after the disease was discovered.
Mai Al-Eidan commented on the meeting, criticizing the negligence of some doctors in diagnosing medical conditions correctly, and wrote: “Unfortunately, this is a problem in the field of medicine in Kuwait. Each case is diagnosed differently by doctors and hospitals, and by the time the patient finds a doctor who provides the correct diagnosis, the disease may have spread and entered a difficult stage. “Do not neglect early detection.”
