Dear Mr. Mag. Stefan Schnöll, We live on Riedlweg in Hallein and have been suffering from evasive traffic on the motorway for years. The Riedlweg is a single-lane road with very few alternative spaces. There we are repeatedly overwhelmed by convoys of tourists. On Saturday, January 20th, 2024) we counted hundreds of cars within half an hour. Some of our property entrances have barriers. These are simply removed by the car drivers to create additional alternative spaces. If you forbid this as a property owner, you will be insulted and/or even threatened.
We, the population of Salzburg, suffer from the constant avalanche of traffic, and not just since the tunnel construction site. Mr. Deputy Governor, finally do something, that’s what you were elected for and will be rewarded by the population for it.
