For two decades of disability and dismissal, the Attorney General’s Office sanctioned the former director of Legal Medicine of the municipality of Mocoa, Putumayo, Felix Antonio Avila Lopez for allegedly sexually abusing two minors aged 14 and 16.

According to the Public Ministry and the evidence provided by the authorities, this man would have agreed at least four times to one of the victims during the months of February and March 2018.

In addition, it seems that the former official would have used the entity’s vehicle to pick up the two minors and take them to the place where they perpetrated the events.

Due to these facts, Ávila was accused of the crimes of abusive carnal access with a child under 14 years of age, sexual acts with a child under 14 years of age and embezzlement for use “for the room it is extremely reprehensible that a public servant of the hierarchy and ostentatious professional status by the disciplinary -doctor-, will use his investiture as a public servant to commit the kind of conduct that is duly accredited in this process”

For this reason, the control body confirmed the first instance ruling, which sanctioned him with dismissal and disability for 20 years for three disciplinary charges classified as very serious offenses committed by intent.
