The Saudi NEOM Green Hydrogen Company signed financial documents with 23 local, regional and international banks and investment companies to establish a green hydrogen production plant with a total investment value of $8.4 billion.
The company also said in a statement that it had entered into a $6.7 billion agreement with Air Products for engineering, procurement and construction, according to Archyde.com.
The statement indicated that the Saudi NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, a joint venture between ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM, will produce 600 tons per day of carbon-free hydrogen by the end of 2026, using four gigawatts of solar energy.
The company entered into an exclusive agreement allowing it to obtain all green ammonia to be produced by Air Products for a period of 30 years.
