Neonazis Manipulating Train’s PA System in Austria: ÖBB Files Complaint

2023-05-15 13:41:17

The Austrian company ÖBB has filed a complaint against two people, after the alleged broadcast Sunday in sound announcement on board a train of Nazi salutes and speeches by the former German dictator Adolf Hitler (1933-1945).

According to ÖBB, the two suspects managed to access the train’s audible announcement system with a key and no computer attack was detected.

They were identified by the police after the analysis of surveillance cameras on board the route, between the city of Sankt-Pölten (east) and Vienna, the capital. They are not company employees.

An investigation has been opened.

Austria, annexed to the German Third Reich in 1938, has some of the strictest laws in the world against Holocaust denial and neo-Nazi activity.
