Bernhard: “In truth, under this federal government, nothing is going on in climate protection, as in all other crucial issues – except the standstill.”

Vienna (OTS) – “Yesterday Werner Kogler, today Sigi Maurer and Leonore Gewessler. The summer zeal of the Greens in the media and their constant mantra that they work so diligently for our country cannot hide the fact that in reality nothing is progressing under this federal government on the crucial issues – apart from the standstill,” says NEOS- Climate and environment spokesman Michael Bernhard. “The decisive laws and reforms are missing, for the people in Austria the Green government participation has not brought any significant improvements.”

According to Bernhard, the Greens should stop lying to themselves. “The Austrians see that the ÖVP and the Greens only work together, but don’t get anywhere on the crucial issues. There is no progress whatsoever in education, in transparency, in the so urgently needed financial relief for people. And a climate ticket alone is far from climate protection! Anyone who has just postponed the end of the rampant cementing of our landscape indefinitely, is still supporting Putin with billions in tax money, and has not passed a climate protection law for three and a half years has no reason to be proud of the balance sheet.”
