Netanyahu expects Israel’s full reopening by April
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed his wish that people over 16 years of age be vaccinated against Covid-19 by the end of March and fully reopen the country in April, according to Times of Israel.
Government eased some restrictions this week, allowing the opening of stores and schools, in addition to places of recreation for vaccinated people.
Until Wednesday, one third of the population was fully vaccinated with two doses (3.1 million people) and half had received at least one.

Given the proximity of the Purim holiday, Netanyahu warned that what happened last year could not happen, when the celebration marked a leap in cases of the disease. “We can be happy, disguise ourselves, but we must respect the rules.
