Netflix enthusiasts all had the same thought when the streaming behemoth unveiled a new sneak-peek of the second series of Nobody Wants This. The popular romantic comedy is set to make a comeback with its second series in October, following the triumph of its debut last year.
On Thursday (August 14), Netflix posted a collection of photos on social media hinting at the upcoming series, confirming that Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, and Arian Moayed will all be returning to their roles. The new season’s guest stars include Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky and Arian Moayed. Television enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the announcement, with many expressing joy at Adam’s return as Noah Roklov, also known as the ‘Hot Rabbi’.
“THE HOT RABBI IS BACKKKKK,” one fan exclaimed on X. Another joined in: “Yaay, hot rabbi is back.”
A third Netflix viewer chimed in: “Hot Rabbi, we missed you!!!! #NobodyWantsThis.”
Others were simply overjoyed to see Nobody Wants This making a return and expressed their anticipation online. “GOD DAMN that was fast. Hell yeah!!!” one person declared.
Another penned: “I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!!” A third fan of Nobody Wants This stated: “Excited to see what Season 2 has in store! Great cast vibes.”
A fourth remarked: “Kristen Bell AND Adam Brody back on my screen?? I’m seated #NobodyWantsThis.”
The second series of Nobody Wants This will premiere on Netflix on October 23, and if the new teasers are anything to go by, it appears that Noah (Adam Brody) and Joanne (Kristen Bell) may have resolved their issues, the Mirror reports. Despite the first series concluding with Joanne’s reluctance to convert to Judaism following Noah’s promotion to head rabbi, the duo appear comfortable in the photos.
The official synopsis for the second season states: “First comes love, then comes life. The last time we saw agnostic podcast host Joanne and unconventional (hot) Rabbi Noah their unmatched chemistry surprised everyone in their lives, including her sister Morgan, his brother Sasha and sister-in-law Esther, and even themselves.
“Their spark proved stronger than all of the obstacles trying to keep them apart. Now, they’re back and fully committed to merging their lives – and loved ones – together.
“But their differences still exist and can’t be ignored. The challenge now is not just falling in love against all odds, but staying together in spite of them.”
Nobody Wants This season two lands on Netflix on 23 October.
