A new documentary on Netflix disturbs the public (Birmingham Mail)

Netflix viewers were disturbed by a new documentary called Escaping Twin Flames, in which many say things are getting worse as time goes on.
The documentary focuses on the controversial online community Twin Flames Universe, run by Shalea and Jeff Devine, and targets people looking for true love.
The documentary series includes interviews with former members of the community, and explores allegations of coercive control, indoctrination and abuse. The three-part series was released by Netflix on November 8, and is currently in the top 10 films in the UK.
X platform users admitted that they felt disturbed when watching the documentary, but they also urged others to watch it. “Nothing could prepare me for watching this documentary on Netflix,” one user wrote. “It’s getting worse as time goes on.”
Another user commented, “Escaping Twin Flames on Netflix is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. What nonsense is going on?” “If you’re a fan of documentaries, watch this movie on Netflix, it’s really crazy what’s going on in the world,” he added.
The documentary is said to be the result of a three-year investigation into the Twin Flame Universe community. Currently, the Twin Flame Universe is an active online community that offers the promise of true love and companionship to its members. Community leaders Jeff and Shalea are also said to be selling online classes that promise harmonious union with desired partners, and are running Twin Flames Universe from their home in Michigan.
The documentary’s makers allegedly reached out to Shalea and Jeff Devine for comment, but they declined. However, the couple issued a lengthy joint statement that was posted on their Instagram accounts, according to the newspaper Birmingham Mail British.
