Brussels – The Netherlands kept their hopes of participating in the European Football Championship alive on Monday thanks to a converted penalty in stoppage time by Virgil van Dijk (93′) in a 1-0 win in Greece. Wout Weghorst had already awarded a penalty for “Oranje” in the 28th minute. The Dutch are in second place ahead of the Greeks, who have the same number of points, and have also played one game less than the 2004 European champions.
