In order to have the father’s visitation rights modified, Isabella contacted the Child Protection Office and the Neuchâtel Civil Court by showing the messages allegedly written by Julia. Unyielding in her hatred of her rival, Isabella opened a Tik Tok account in the name of a friend of Julia’s. Julia is insulted there and the father of Isabella’s daughter is accused of having abandoned the child. Interviewed again by the police, Isabella admitted to being at the origin of this new twist. From being a complainant, she finds herself warned because Julia and her companion have filed a complaint. “The modus operandi denotes a certain perversity and a tenacious desire to harm because of unhealthy jealousy. The defendant was not content with public accusations on social networks but she misled or attempted to mislead the authorities,” said prosecutor Nicolas Feuz.
Isabella was found guilty of slander and insults. She was sentenced by criminal order to 90 days fine of 50 francs with a three-year suspended sentence. The procedural costs of 500 francs were charged to him. The prevention of misleading the justice system was not retained because it was not Isabella who activated the criminal justice system.
