On Thursday followingnoon at around 2:15 p.m., two workers were busy unloading formwork elements with a crane from the loading bridge of a truck at a construction site on Bahnhofstrasse in Neukirch TG, as the Thurgau cantonal police write in a press release.
According to the findings of the Kapo TG so far, several of the concrete components fell to the side when being lifted and hit the workers. The two men, aged 40 and 52, were seriously injured and had to be flown to the hospital by the ambulance service following first aid. The cause of the accident is the subject of ongoing investigations by the Thurgau cantonal police.
