Neurodegenerative diseases: a workshop dedicated to the Institut du Cerveau

On February 2 and 3, the Paris Brain Institute hosted a clinical workshop dedicated to neurodegenerative diseases, as part of the CURE-ND Alliance. Among the topics covered: clinical trial platforms, digital assessments, biomarkers, and preventive trials for genetic diseases in progress with Cure-ND partners.

In addition to this program, conferences, poster sessions, round tables, startup pitches and prizes allowed researchers and members of the alliance to reaffirm their commitment to urgently address the challenge of neurodegenerative diseases. .

Third in a series of joint events, this new gathering CURE-ND was a key moment to foster the exchange of know-how and expertise, encourage and promote new collaborations, accurately map the different clinical cohorts of research on neurological diseases carried out by the partners, and create a strong community of neurodegeneration researchers in Europe and beyond, for the benefit of patients.

CURE-ND: catalysing a concerted response in Europe to neurodegenerative diseases

CURE-ND is a group of European non-profit research institutes (the UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) in Great Britain, Mission Luciditythe German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) (DZNE) in Germany and the Brain Institute, bringing together more than 2,000 researchers. Together they want to understand the causes of neurodegeneration and use this knowledge to help patients and those at risk.

The CURE-ND alliance is convinced that the collaboration can help address the challenges of neurodegenerative diseases more quickly. It aspires to create a community of ideas and cooperative approaches.

THE joint activities include:

  • Training, workshops, sharing of information, tools and know-how;
  • Writing applications for grants and other financial support mechanisms;
  • Lobbying for increased long-term support;
  • Promoting a culture of innovation and facilitating engagement with industry.

Upcoming CURE-ND Alliance Events :
