“Neusiedl without See” – this ORF mockumentary on the documentary slot in ORF 1 triggered massive grants in Burgenland. Now “Dok 1” program manager and ORF presenter Hanno Settele, in a reaction to the complaint letter from the head of Burgenland Tourism, rejects the allegations that the program might be taken at face value. The scenes are “without a doubt recognizable as satire”, and the show explicitly labeled the satire itself at the end. Settele’s letter is available in the STANDARD.
