New advice suggests scrapping the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE in favor of a new foldable phone

No Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the new tri-fold smartphone is coming soon

According to a tweet from tipster Yogesh Brar, Samsung is not currently developing the Galaxy S23 FE, contrary to recent rumors that suggested the device is in active development and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Instead, the company is said to be working on a version. Improved from its Z series foldable phones. This new line is expected to include the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which will be released later this year.

Additionally, the tweet mentions that Samsung is working on a trifold phone that folds like a book. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the concept, as Samsung has been rumored to be working on a dual-hinge Galaxy Z Fold since 2018. Last year, the company showed off a working prototype of a tri-fold phone.

The dual fold design of the tri-fold phone has the potential to resemble a small tablet when folded, with a larger screen than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Other phone manufacturers have tried to bring a similar design to the market, but the challenge is to deliver a device with both internal and external folding mechanisms. Samsung has made some headway in this area and showed off a prototype at CES earlier this year called the “Flex in and Out” display stand.

Although foldable screens have not been durable in the past, Samsung’s continued efforts to push the boundaries of foldable phones is interesting. This indicates that the company sees the form factor as the future of smartphones and is constantly pushing the boundaries to introduce a product in the near future.
