New attack by the Maduro regime against press freedom: “Infobae and Clarín are producers of lies”

New attack by the Chavista dictatorship against Infobae

The dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro does not cease its attacks on the freedom of the press. This Tuesday Jorge Rodriguezpresident of the Chavista National Assembly, targeted the Argentine media Infobae y Clarion for his coverage of the case of the Venezuelan-Iranian plane seized in Buenos Aires, who is being investigated for links to international terrorism.

Infobae and Clarín are producers of lies”, stated the Chavista leader, former Minister of Popular Power for Communication and Information. “Stop talking nonsense. Those media outlets, Clarín, Infobae, producers of lies… Why don’t they say that the plane was French? They have to create the matrix to rob us, to kidnap and violate the human rights of Venezuelans.”

The plane Rodríguez is referring to is a US-made Boeing 747, subject to US sanctions since its transfer by the Iranian company Mahan Air Emtrasur -a subsidiary of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (Conviasa)- violates North American export laws, as indicated by the United States Justice. Both companies have been sanctioned by Washington for alleged logistics collaboration for terrorist organizations.

The preferred victims of the regime are the critical local media, but also the large platforms consolidated worldwide. Infobae, in fact, is censored in Venezuela: on October 10, 2014, the regime blocked access to the site throughout its territory and since then it has been banned.

Rodríguez also criticized the Argentine federal prosecutor Cecilia Incardonawhom he described as a “thief” and accused of having visited the embassies of the United States and Israel: “He went to the embassy to collect, to be given the corresponding payment to commit the kidnapping.”

“Cecilia Incardona receives direct instructions from the United States. That is a rottenness, it is a judicial system on its knees”added the high-ranking Chavista official.

In line with the recent statements by the dictator Maduro, Rodríguez demanded that Argentina return the plane or, otherwise, called on social movements to demonstrate in the streets: “They give us back the plane, or else we go to the streets to fight in all spaces!”

He also announced a mobilization towards the Argentine embassy in Caracas.

lieutenant colonel Cesar Perezpresident of Emtrasur, a subsidiary of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (Conviasa), participated in the mobilization called by the PSUV in the Venezuelan capital.

“We demand that the Argentine justice system stop this unfortunate show, retaining our crew; 19 crew members, an aircraft that carried out a completely lawful operation. After two months they have nothing, no element that could deprive them of leaving the country. Because they cannot leave the country, they are imprisoned inside Argentina,” said Pérez, who He maintained that the retention of the plane represents “serious patrimonial damage to the country.”

in the last hours The Chavista regime increased the pressure against Argentina due to the situation of the seized plane. This Monday, between shouts and profanity, the dictator asked for the support of the social, union and political movements of “Patriotic Argentina” and “Peronist” to recover the Venezuelan-Iranian plane.

Maduro asked Argentina to return the Venezuelan-Iranian plane

“I ask for the support of the social, union and political movements of patriotic Argentina, of Peronist Argentina, for Venezuela, for the rescue of the plane, for the release of the kidnapped pilots. I ask for the support of Argentina”, Maduro said in a congress with Venezuelan social movements, broadcast by the state channel VTV.

The Chavista dictator assured that his regime is going to “give a battle with all” its “communicational, social and political weapons (…) for the plane” that is “kidnapped and (which) they brazenly intend to rob in Argentina”where, he pointed out, “they have kidnapped the pilots who have not committed any crime (…) anywhere in the world.”

Diosdado Cabello, number two of the dictatorship, also demanded that Argentina return the plane and criticized President Alberto Fernández: The Venezuelan plane, hijacked by Argentina, hijacked by the government of Alberto Fernández, with every intention of seizing a property that belongs to all Venezuelans. The president of Argentina has kidnapped this plane and before that he had the crew kidnapped”.

In addition to the public statements of the main Chavista officials, the regime launched two propaganda campaigns on Tuesday to ask the government of Alberto Fernández to return the plane. The dictatorship also described the investigation of the AMIA terrorist attack as a “false positive.”

“A cargo plane, 100% Venezuelan, which is in charge of moving vaccines, medicines and humanitarian aid to the entire continent was hijacked with its crew by order of the United States on Argentine soil using the false positive of the AMIA cause, violating all the international aeronautical treaties and the human rights of Venezuelans, endangering their lives. Return the plane, we want you back, ”says the narrator in one of the videos.
