New biopic for Elsa Zylberstein. After achieving success for her portrayal of Simone Veil last year in Simone, the trip of the centurythe actress announced to Variety that she had embarked on a new project. This time it is a film adaptation of the last ten years of Christian Dior’s life. The film will be produced by the actress’ company, Sonia Films, and written by Julien Teisseireknown to be the creator of the series heart plane.
The feature film should return to the beginnings of the couturier at the head of his own house just after the Second World War. And this until his death in 1957. The plot should also emphasize the personality of Raymonde Zehnackera crucial figure in the success of the Dior house, as well as on Jacques Benitathe designer’s young partner.
“Christian Dior was a fiercely private man, so people know very little about him and he was not a flamboyant character like other fashion designers or popular cultural icons, but he was fascinating nonetheless. . (…) It’s a world that I know very well because I grew up there thanks to my mother, ”explained the actress whose mother had worked for the Dior house during the 1970s.
High-profile female characters
Elsa Zylberstein will play the role of Raymonde Zehnacker. “We like to say that behind every successful man, there is a woman, and that was also true for Dior,” the actress recalled.

She bought the rights to adapt Letters to Nelson Algren.
