German club Schalke 04, recently returning to the German first division, “Bundesliga”, announced today, Tuesday, the appointment of Frank Kramer as the new coach of the team, replacing interim coach Mike Buskins.
According to Schalke’s statement on Twitter, Kramer (50 years) agreed to a two-year contract (until 2024), to appoint Buskins as his assistant.
Kramer was sacked by Armenia Bielefeld on April 20, following he failed to stay in the “Bundesliga”, ending the season with 28 points, in 17th place.
Previously, Kramer coached Grouter Fürth, Fortuna Düsseldorf and the German under-20 team.
Schalke returned to the “Bundesliga” following winning the second division, with 65 points, two points behind runner-up Werder Bremen.
