Goodyear launched a new tire Cooper Work Series RHT 2 promising better energy efficiency and greater durability in high abrasion applications.
The tire is SmartWay certified and is ideal for tandem axle and spread axle trailers, says Cooper.
“Reliability and durability are top of mind for fleet operators when choosing a tire that meets the unique demands of regional trailers,” said Tom Lippello, senior director of trade marketing for Goodyear North America. “Fleets can navigate tough roads with confidence while keeping their business running efficiently with this new line of Work Series trailer tires.”
The tire is available in eight sizes. Its features include: a low rolling resistance, high abrasion resistance tread compound; four heavy-duty full-width steel belts provide durability in spread axle applications and improve casing retreadability; a tread and shoulder profile that minimizes tearing in high abrasion conditions and a visual wear indicator that helps determine remaining tread life.
