Dr. Muhammad Dahi, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, confirmed that 8 new departments were created in the General Authority for Health Insurance hospitals during the first quarter of this year, including departments (facial and maxillofacial surgery in Sednawy Hospital, cerebral catheterization in Nile Hospital in Qalyubia Governorate, cardiac catheterization in Sindoub Hospital in Governorate Dakahlia, oncology surgery at Al-Hilal Sohag Hospital, the Department of Interventional Radiology at the Nile and Al-Hilal Hospitals in Sohag, the corneal transplantation unit at 6th of October Hospital), in addition to the opening of a dialysis center in the October Medical Complex with 17 dialysis machines, and the introduction of dialysis service in intensive care units at Al-Nasr Helwan Hospital and Al-Nasr Hospital. Dr. Muhammad Dahi, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, indicated that the chest departments in hospitals affiliated with the General Authority for Health Insurance have been developed and raised to standardize treatment protocols and guidelines for chest diseases within the authority, in addition to the creation of 13 specialized medical committees in 10 branches in the specialty (oncology, Multiple sclerosisIntersto, pediatric heart, cerebral catheterization, hematology for adults and children).
And Dr. Muhammad Dahi, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, continued that a new system has been introduced to provide commercial pharmacies’ medicines within the pharmacies of all health insurance clinics, which number 120 medicinal items, as part of the plan to develop the medicine and medical supply system, pointing to the approval of dispensing the Supreme Committee’s medicines to 34 thousand Patient (oncology, biological, immunology).
