Insiders of the Windows 11 program should soon see the appearance of highly anticipated new functions such as application folders in the Start menu, a more fluid user experience and new gestures in particular.

Among the major changes to be expected, there is the creation of application folders in Start. You will be able to group apps and use them easily via groups, as well as drag and drop files more easily to the taskbar. We also expect easier use of grouped and floating applications above the bar.

“Snap Bar” is announced. This is about improving the user experience by allowing multiple app windows to snap to Windows 11 in a new way. It would be a “bar” panel that drops down from the top of the screen as soon as you move a window on your screen.

Uses for tablets under Windows 11
For tablet users under Windows 11, new gestures will allow access to the Start menu and the Quick Settings panel by raising the mouse or your finger from the bottom to the top of the screen from the system tray. This will open Quick Settings. Elsewhere, this gesture will be used to bring up Start. In addition, it will be possible to automatically hide the taskbar if you then use your device as a tablet and no longer as a PC.
All of this should arrive in beta testing for Insiders in the Windows 11 Dev Channel.
