Nearly 350 housing units will be built, including two towers. The contracting authority is the Route de la Glâne consortium, bringing together the insurer Helvetia and the Raiffeisen pension fund. During the investigation, in July 2021, four oppositions had been filed. Three were withdrawn during the procedure and the last opposition was dismissed by the Prefecture, the press release said. When this new urban development was announced, a Beaumont-Vignettaz Quality of Life collective was created to defend the interests of the neighbourhood.
The development of a nearby public park, called Parc du Vallon, is the subject of another procedure.
