new opus dedicated to the fragrances of Ogata, temple of chic Japan in Paris

Also don’t miss 1is to June 26, 2022, in the recently inaugurated gallery of Ogata, a selection of works of art by Japanese ceramist Yuki Nara. Between porcelain and architecture, his creations are as many feats inscribing traditional techniques in the field of abstraction by merging ancestral know-how with new technologies. Yuki Nara, 33-year-old artist, descendant of a long line of famous potters, whose grandfather, Ohi Chozaemon X, was crowned “Living National Treasure” by the Japanese government, wished to honor his heritage. An architect by training, he transferred his academic knowledge to this new passion of ceramics, using 3D modeling tools to revolutionize his traditional process. Sculpted, assembled and fired according to the rules established long ago by his family following their design, well in tune with the times, he presents here several of his ceramics, some of which are exhibited for the first time.
