Gueum Sa Bopp, a powerful political coalition in Senegal, launched a vast mobilization by deploying 2,700 facilitators throughout the country to collect sponsorships in support of the candidacy of Bougane Guèye Dany in 2024. With a presence in the 557 communes of the country, Gueum Sa Bopp demonstrates its effective territorial network.
Collecting sponsorships is often a challenge for many candidates, but Gueum Sa Bopp managed to mobilize his troops thanks to the careful preparation of Bougane Guèye Dany, who got a head start by launching his operations on the ground first. For more than 18 months, Bougane Guèye Dany has been heavily involved in the restructuring of the Gueum Sa Bopp cells and has strengthened its teams. At the same time, he did not neglect his social commitment by carrying out concrete actions, such as the construction of schools and maternity wards, and by providing support to people affected by the floods.

The collection of sponsorships for the Gueum Sa Bopp coalition looks very promising. From the launch of the campaign, the Kaffrine department showed its support by handing over 10,000 sponsors to Bougane Guèye Dany upon his return from Khossanto, where he met populations living in mining areas in difficulty. These populations were faced with restrictions imposed by a prefectural decree which limited their participation in the exploitation of gold by local companies. During a recent press conference in Touba Mbacke, coalition coordinator Gueum Sa Bopp announced that the collection of sponsorships was coming to an end. Finally, Gueum Sa Bopp made public its calendar of activities for collecting sponsorships, which covers the entire Senegalese territory. The campaign began on October 13, 2023 in Keur Massar Sud and will end on November 20, 2023 in the Diourbel region.
