While the new range of graphics cards made in Nvidia will be presented on September 20 at a conference, the RTX 4090 is leaking some information! And not the least since these are its potential performances, as well as its price!
The Nvidia RTX 4090, twice as powerful as the RTX 3090?!
All PC gamers are waiting for only one thing: to know if the RTX 4090 will be worthy of their expectations! And for good reason, the overpowered 3090 and 3090 Ti surprised us with their performance, but Nvidia does not want to stop there.
All this is just rumors, since nothing has been formalized, but a benchmark has been published on a Chinese site. The RTX 4090 is said to score 19,000 points on 3DMark TimeSpy Extremesoftware for testing the computing speed of a chip.
On another benchmark, the score would have reached no less than 20,192! So if we believe in these sources, the RTX 4090 could show us a power almost 2 times higher than the RTX 3090 (+90%).

On the frequency side, the new graphics card from Nvidia would show a frequency of 3015 MHz (3Ghz), which is an extremely high frame rate for a GPU. More surprisingly, even with this frequency the RTX 4090 would not exceed 55°C, even pushed to the maximum of its capacities.
According to the person who performed the benchmark, the RTX 4090 would have a “very large” heatsink that could not fit in all the towers. Regarding consumption, the TDP would not exceed 450 Watts.

The RTX 4090 has a knockout price
Now let’s talk about what annoys a little more: the price. If PC components have taken a huge price hit over the past two years, the course of the euro is mixed in with all this and offers us a more staggering price.
It was via an Australian reseller that a screenshot leaked on the internet. On this image, we can see a price of 4270 Australian dollars, or approximately 2909€ with the current rate of the euro.
As a reminder, the RTX 3090 had pointed the tip of its nose in our stores for the modest sum of €1099. You know, the days when it was thought that recommended prices would remain the norm. Even if the prices of an RTX 3090 revolve around 1200/1300€, the RTX 4090 would be worth more than double that of its older generation counterpart.
On the screenshot, the Australian store displays an RTX 4090 from Gigabyte, with 24 GB of dedicated video memory, but above all overclocked. Another Australian shop, displays another model, still at Gigabyte, the Aorus Master, this time at 3900 Australian dollars, or around 2657€. However, no image has been released.
Nvidia plans to officially announce the arrival of the RTX 4000 line on September 20 at a conference. During this meeting, we will know more about the RTX 4090, which should, as traditionally, show up first, before welcoming its little sisters afterwards.
Thus, we will have confirmation of the real launch prices of the RTX 4090, hoping that the figures announced on these Australian stores are false…
