Riyadh ∙ Domestic workers who ran away in Saudi Arabia will not be able to change jobs under a new employer. Only those who meet the conditions approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development can switch to a new visa or sponsorship. In order to change the sponsorship of employees, the current sponsor must apply for the new sponsor through the Musanid platform.
The application should contain full details of the worker and the sponsor. Then the new sponsor must approve the application. Application should be completed through Abshir. Other categories of workers can also change jobs only if the sponsor’s complaint of absconding is withdrawn. Withdrawal through Abshir portal within 15 days of complaint. Otherwise, the complaint will have to be withdrawn by appearing in person at the passport department, Jawasat. Many Indians are doing domestic work in Saudi Arabia.
