Two new Senegalese recruits are arriving at FC Metz. Striker Ibou Sané, 18, and central defender Sadibou Sané, 19. They have the same name but they are not related. On the other hand, they both come from Génération foot, the partner academy of FC Metz in Senegal. They signed with the Grenats until June 2028.
Both were crowned champions of Senegal with Generation foot last season and both also won the CAN U20, the African Cup of Nations for the under 20s, with the colors of the Senegal team. They have already arrived in Lorraine and joined the group in Vittel in the Vosges, where FC Metz is currently training before the resumption of the Ligue 1 championship on August 13.
To these two new recruits, we must also add a third arrival at FC Metz. Midfielder Jean N’Guessan signed with the Grenats until June 2027. The Ivorian international had belonged to OGC Nice since 2021 but was loaned to FC Lausanne in Switzerland, then to Nîmes Olympic. He had the opportunity to appear 35 times in Ligue 2. “I was looking forward to joining FC Metz, it’s now done! I’m very happy to have joined the club. I was very well received in my new team. Now, I can’t wait to wear this shirt and help FC Metz achieve its goals”said Jean N’Guessan when signing in Metz.
FC Metz has also announced the loan of one of its goalkeepers. Ousmane Ba will wear the colors of SO Cholet next season, a National club.
