Solidarity Income, is one of the subsidies that has been supporting a large part of the population in Colombia, with the sole purpose of helping them to cope with the economic crisis that has been unleashed by the coronavirus pandemic. The Solidarity Income it was initially designed to operate for three months. Thanks to the Social Investment Law approved by Congress, and sanctioned by President Iván Duque, Social Prosperity will be able to execute the program until 2022. The Social Investment Law increases the coverage of the program, going from 3 million to 4 million 85 thousand beneficiary households, starting in March and April 2022.
From Social Prosperity It was confirmed that in the new payment cycle, the Solidarity Income will suffer an increase of 20 thousand Colombian pesos, with which on this date the beneficiaries will be able to collect 400 thousand pesosamount that will be charged bimonthly from May 2022.

“To be part of the Solidarity Income program, no intermediaries or registrations are needed, the entire process is carried out through the updating of the Sisbén IV survey”, explained Social Prosperity.

WHEN IS THE NEXT SOLIDARITY INCOME PAYMENT
According to the official website of Social Prosperitythe beneficiaries of the bimonthly payment or also called the third payment draft will begin on May 19, 2022. This deposit will also be made throughout the month of June and then extended until December of this year.
The investment is 1.5 trillion pesos, to comply with the payment of this cycle and for the accumulated of this year. The director (e) of Social Prosperity, Pierre García Jacquier, said: “Since March we have been expanding coverage to reach 4 million households in a situation of vulnerability. It is part of the commitment of this government, headed by President Iván Duque”.
HOW THE SOLIDARITY INCOME WILL BE CHARGED IN COLOMBIA
Starting in July, the amount of the transfer will be differentiated: it will depend on the number of household members and the Sisbén IV classification group. At the recent meeting of the Equity Table, those responsible adjusted that value as follows:
