A new channel focused on sports coverage will be launched in Brazil this month. The initiative will have Antonio Tabet, who is a founding partner of Porta dos Fundos and was once vice president of communication for Flamengo, as one of the names ahead of the project.
Called GOAT, the new channel can be followed on free platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Instagram e Facebook. All upcoming sports programs and events will be announced in the coming weeks.
The name GOAT refers to the expression “greatest of all time”. The term became very popular in sports to indicate a player who is the best in history in his modality.
The team will start covering preseason games. The first scheduled broadcast on GOAT’s YouTube channel is the friendly match between Manchester City (ING) and Yokohama F. Marinos (JAP), scheduled for the next 23rd of July, at 07:00 (Brasília time).

The channel will broadcast exclusively to Brazil the confrontation between Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr on July 25, at 7:20 am (Brasília time). At the same time, but on the 26th, Bayern Munich and Manchester City face each other.
The goals, highlights and games in full will be available on the channel afterwards. In addition to broadcasts, there will be content and programs produced by professionals in the sports market. The company also provides for the creation of special events.
Ricardo Taves (ex-Corinthians, Flamengo and FC Diez Media) is the channel’s CEO and responsible for structuring the project. Luciana Festi, formerly of My News, is in charge of production and casting, while Alexandre Salvador, formerly of Flow, is head of content.
