Company Valve announced the release of a new version of the desktop client Steam. It includes major improvements and features that have successfully passed beta testing. Among the new:
- the developers have done a lot of work on the common code for the Steam client, mode Big Picture and software Steam Deck. This will make further improvements much easier;
- Improved the visuals and usability of Steam by updating dialogs, menus, fonts and colors.
- notifications have been made more useful, including new settings;
- the developers completely redesigned the in-game overlay and introduced a completely new toolbar. Plus, the ability to pin windows from the overlay to display on top of the game has been added;
- there were user notes for games. The function supports text formatting, inserting images, allows you to keep several different notes regarding the game and is available even offline;
