New Swiss record: Mujinga Kambundji runs faster than ever before

What a performance by Mujinga Kambundji. The Swiss athlete sets a new record over 200 meters at her home meeting in Bern. It took her just 22.18 seconds to cover the distance. She undercut her own Swiss record from 2019 by eight hundredths of a second. She coldly exploited the perfect conditions.

The second Swiss top sprinter might not keep up. Ajla Del Ponte ran almost a second slower than Kambundji. It was the first time since the Tokyo Olympics that Del Ponte and Kambundji had sprinted once morest each other in a competition.

Kambundji was not only able to celebrate victory over 200 meters. She was also clearly the number 1 over 100 meters. A good 80 minutes before the record run, she easily won with 11.11 seconds.
