New test for Jill Vandermeulen

The 34-year-old Belgian tells everything with her followers: last August, in a poignant message, she had shared her immense pain at having lost the baby she was carrying. And she spoke about it regularly on the networks as in November, where she compiled all the questions that ran through her head: “So??? Still nothing ???”, “You really have to stop thinking about it”, “It will come when the time is right”.

“We don’t talk enough about the aftermath, the months that follow. Intense stress and anxieties, she confided. “The aftermath is as painful as the moment of the drama, because it consists solely of doubt and painfully long waiting three weeks a month”.

Last week, she spoke on the networks to announce very sad news. “Many of you are hearing from us about our baby trials. After unfortunately a second failure this month, we will take the initiative to find the cause,” she said. The deceased embryo will be analyzed, “in order to obtain answers”, in particular “to live the mourning more serenely and especially to take medical measures thereafter”.

“I think a lot of women and couples will recognize themselves in what we are going through,” she concluded, indicating that they were doing well “even if sadness, pain and disappointment are obviously present”.

Jill Vandermeulen, already mother of three children, Bella-June (11 years old), James (9 years old) and Jude (7 years old), thanked the staff of the University Hospital of Namur: “What sweetness and what kindness despite the difficult times, the fatigue and morale at zero because of the Covid, you are little guardian angels”.
