Reports of a new covid strain spreading in England are spreading fear. The latest variant of Covid, EG 5.1, was first detected in the UK last month. Reported by This variant is known as Eris. Eris was classified as a new variant on 31 July. The spread of Covid is again increasing internationally, especially in Asia.
