Almost a year ago, we learned that Kim Lévesque-Lizotte was working on a new version of Me and the other, the cult Quebec series starring, at the time, Dominique Michel and Denise Filiatrault. A question remained: who would take over these legendary roles? We now know the answer.

Passing (for the first time!) It’s a good end to the week this Friday March 1st, Kim Lévesque-Lizotte gave some additional details about this project which is currently occupying his time.

Remember that it will be a play and that it will be an original story, set in the time of the series, therefore between 1966 and 1971.
In interview with Julie Bélanger et Jean-Michel Anctilthe identity of the two actresses who would slip into the shoes of Dodo and Denise, has been revealed.
It is Juliette Gosselin et Alexa-Jeanne Dubé.

Kim, however, did not want to give too many details regarding the story as such, but she admitted to having watched a lot of episodes in order to properly transpose the world of the sitcom onto the stage.
“That time was great. It was very avant-garde, two women living together. It’s still avant-garde. […] I am going to make it a tribute to Quebec and a tribute to Quebec women,” she said.
In order to ensure that she gave the best of what she could do, she decided to ignore what fans of the series might think… but also what Dominique Michel and Denise Fililatrault, who risk come see the piece, might think!
Knowing the talent as an author of Kim Lévesque-Lizotte in recent years, particularly with series The Simones, Before the crash et Turnwe have no doubt that it will be a success!
The play will be presented this summer at the Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne.
