The British Queen Elizabeth II had to cancel her participation in a virtual meeting of her Privy Council on Wednesday evening for health reasons. As Buckingham Palace announced, the 96-year-old monarch was ordered to rest by her doctors. A hospital stay is not planned, the PA news agency reported, citing palace circles.

The Queen is currently at her country home, Castle Balmoral in Scotland, where she will be on Tuesday Boris Johnson had received, who delivered his resignation as Prime Minister. Immediately followingwards she also gave his successor Liz Truss an audience and charged them with forming a government.
