This Sunday, December 31, Bruxelles-Propreté is slightly changing its garbage bag collection times. Due to the New Year festivities and for mobility reasons, the trucks, which usually pass around 8 p.m., will collect the bags earlier than planned on certain routes.
The measure will apply to seven municipalities: Anderlecht, Ixelles, Molenbeek, Uccle, Saint-Gilles, Forest and the City of Brussels.
Bruxelles Propreté asks affected residents to please take out their bags between 4-6 p.m. (instead of 6-8 p.m.). “A gesture which will allow immediate collection with a clear improvement in the fluidity of mobility and a reduction in waste on the street during the festivities.”
