A Stadium Experience Like No Other

The plan envisions the creation of 2,500 affordable homes, providing crucial housing options in a city facing an ongoing affordability crisis. More than 40,000 square feet of public open space will offer residents and visitors alike green refuges to unwind and connect with nature. Additionally, a 250-room hotel, a 650-seat public school, and street-level retail will foster a sense of community and attract new life to the neighborhood.
Progress Underway, Affordability Prioritized
The Willets Point transformation is already well underway. Just last year, construction commenced on the first 880 housing units, with completion slated for late 2026. The next phase will focus on 220 units specifically designed for low-income seniors, underscoring the city’s commitment to inclusivity and affordability.
The project is projected to generate $6.1 billion in economic impact over the next 30 years, creating 1,550 permanent jobs and injecting life into the local economy.
