Bengaluru: Rachin Ravindra’s century and Captain Kane Williamson’s brilliant half-century gave New Zealand a huge score against Pakistan. The Kiwis scored 401 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated over.
Rachin Ravindra scored 108 runs off 95 balls including one six and 15 fours while Kane Williamson who returned to the team scored 95 runs off 79 balls. The captain’s innings consisted of two sixes and 10 fours. Ravindra was caught by Saud Shakeel off Mohammad Wasim and Williamson was caught by Fakhar Zaman off Iftikhar Ahmad. Both of them scored 180 runs off 142 balls for the second wicket. Eglan Phillips (41 off 25 balls), opener Devon Conway (35 off 39 balls), Daryl Mitchell (29 off 18 balls), Mark Chapman (39 off 27 balls) and Mitchell Santner (26 not out off 17 balls) also provided great support in the last overs.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim took three wickets and Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmad and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.
