New Zealand will provide full security to the team: IG Islamabad

The police assured to provide complete security to the New Zealand cricket team coming to Pakistan to play a series of T20 and ODI matches.

The New Zealand cricket team is arriving in Pakistan to play a series of 5 T20 matches and 5 ODI matches. IG Islamabad has assured to provide complete security to the KV team.

IG Islamabad has said that full security will be provided to New Zealand. The Kiwi team will be given the same type of security as the England team.

According to the IG, the security arrangements of the visiting team will also be assisted by advanced technology.

Remember that earlier it was reported that the Islamabad Police has refused to provide security to the New Zealand team.

The Islamabad police said that it is the responsibility of the PCB to provide resources and expenses on the occasion of the New Zealand cricket team’s visit to Pakistan, but the police

Resources required for security are not provided. Hence security cannot be provided to the team.

The police officials also said that the federal police do not even have jammers while the police are busy with census, flour supply and Ramadan. According to the officials, PCB has been informed about the situation in the security meeting.

It should be noted that 5 T20 and 5 ODI matches will be played in New Zealand and Pakistan. The series will start from April 14 in Lahore, T20 matches will start at 9 pm while ODI matches will start at 3.30 pm.
