News 24 | Aerial photos of 4 random neighborhoods in Jeddah after their removal

Today (Wednesday), the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah region published aerial photographs showing the current situation of the slum neighborhoods of Al-Rawabi, Al-Jamaa, Madain Al-Fahd, and Al-Balad following their removal.

Photographs taken by photographer Fahad Al-Tufafani showed large areas of land devoid of buildings following the removal operations, while the buildings in the informal neighborhoods remained as they were.

The Slums Committee provides its services to the residents of these neighborhoods, including: moving luggage, food baskets, permanent housing services, temporary housing until compensation or permanent housing is received, and the service of applying for compensation.

The project to develop these neighborhoods aims to improve the quality of life and facilitate the residents’ access to all necessary services, most notably: health, education and housing services.
