The sources said, according to Al-Riyadia, that the Al-Ahly administration sent a letter to the Competitions Committee of the Professional League, requesting the postponement of the remaining two rounds due to the participation of a number of first-team football players, with the Olympic team in the AFC U-23 Cup finals, held in Uzbekistan. .

The sources pointed out that Al-Nasr categorically refused to postpone the two rounds after contacts took place between the club and the Professional League, at a time when the Al-Hilal administration did not receive any official letters, as the club was verbally informed of the possibility of postponing the next two rounds if the team beat Vietnam in today’s match.

The sources indicated that the Board of Directors of Al-Shabab Club, headed by Khaled Al-Baltan, agreed to postpone the two decisive rounds in the league, explaining that the step comes in the interest of the Olympic team.

The Olympic green will face its counterpart Vietnam today, Sunday, in the quarter-finals of the continental competition, and in the event of victory, the sources confirmed that a decision will be issued to postpone the 29th and 30th rounds of the professional league.

It is noteworthy that the Australian team qualified for the semi-finals of the competition, and the winner of the Saudi-Vietnam match is waiting to meet it on June 15, before the start of the 29th round of the league, scheduled for the 18th of this month.
