The Food and Drug Authority revealed a number of steps through which eye drops can be placed properly.
The authority stated that you must wait for at least 5 minutes before placing each type of drops, if more than one type is used at the same time, and check the validity date, taking into account the date of opening the package, as it is preferable to put a label with the date of opening on it.
And she stressed the need to wash hands with soap and water well before putting the drops, as well as shake the bottle well before opening it if it is mentioned on it, then raise the head back while looking up, while gently pulling the lower eyelid down and putting only one drop.
She also stressed not to touch the dropper to the eye or eyelashes to prevent the transmission of bacteria to them, then to close the eyes gently with finger pressure on the inner corner of the eye for a minute, and in the end, be careful to close the package well, and save it according to the instructions mentioned in the medicine leaflet.
