The Food and Drug Authority responded to inquiries regarding a circulating video claiming the use of the Moringa plant in the treatment of many diseases.
The authority explained that the Moringa plant is used in food and in cooking because it contains several vitamins and minerals, stressing that there are no scientific studies confirming the therapeutic claims.
She called for consulting a specialist doctor before using any herb, as some herbs may affect pregnancy or lactation.
