A committee formed by the World Health Organization to assess the global capacity to confront epidemics revealed that the situation in the world has not improved compared to what it was, when the “Corona” virus appeared in 2019.
The committee stressed that the world is more at risk than ever, in light of the lack of progress in reforms such as the global health systems.
She noted that the same tools and system that were in place in December 2019 to deal with the threat of any pandemic still exist, stressing that these tools were not good enough.
She noted that some progress has been made, which includes pumping more funding into the World Health Organization, but that the process is proceeding very slowly.
