She explained that antibiotics do not speed up recovery from influenza when taken at the beginning of the infection, revealing that antibiotics fight bacteria, and influenza is caused by types of the virus, which confirms the uselessness of taking antibiotics when contracting the flu.
The ministry had indicated that low temperatures do not lead to disease, but cold and dry weather is the ideal environment for transmitting viruses, adding that sunscreen must be used in winter and not the other way around, as ultraviolet radiation is exposed during the day even in cold weather.
