Today (Friday), the General Directorate of Health Affairs in the Riyadh region clarified 4 steps to cool the body when suffering from heat stroke, in conjunction with the heat wave in some regions.
The directorate advised the injured person to spray his body with water, then sit in front of the fan, and then move immediately to a shaded area, building or an air-conditioned car.
She indicated that the patient should immerse the body in water, in a bathtub or take a cold bath, and drink an adequate amount of water.
She also stressed the need for the injured to remove any excess clothing, and to put cold compresses on the neck and armpits.
