The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, issued a decision to localize 35% of consulting professions and businesses, starting from 4-6-2023, in the first phase, and the percentage will increase in the second phase to reach 40% as of 3/24/2024 AD.
The decision targets all professions in the sector, most notably: “a financial advisory specialist, a business advisory specialist, a cyber security advisory specialist, a project management manager, a project management engineer, and a project management specialist”, as the decision is expected to provide job opportunities for male and female citizens.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jadaan, issued a ministerial decision to amend the form of the brochure of conditions and specifications for “consulting services” and to oblige consulting companies to the percentage of Emiratisation specified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in government services and procurement.
These two decisions come within the framework of joint efforts to localize the consulting and business sector, in which five government agencies participated, represented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, the Spending Efficiency and Government Projects Authority, and the Human Resources Development Fund “Hadaf”. “.
The decision aims to enhance the presence of human cadres in the sector, and increase the percentage of Emiratisation in consulting professions and businesses, which will contribute to the development of local content in this strategic sector.
