News 24 | The Public Prosecution arrested a person who impersonated a health practitioner and published videos of his misleading allegations

An official source in the Public Prosecution said that the investigations by the Public Prosecution Office of Assault on Persons ended with the accusation of a person who posted clips on social media bearing his claim to treat patients, misleading patients and those in need of treatment.

The source indicated that the investigation procedures revealed that the aforementioned created accounts through social media, and published medical information, while not holding a scientific qualification in the medical specialty, in addition to the absence of a legal document from the competent authorities authorizing him to perform health practices, or provide medical opinion to patients.

And he indicated that the aforementioned was arrested and charged with publishing content on social media that includes his claim to provide treatment services without a license, in violation of the health professions practice law and its executive regulations, and the laws against financial fraud, breach of trust and information crimes.

He added that investigation procedures against the accused are currently being completed, in preparation for referring him to the court and the relevant committees to demand the penalties prescribed in this regard.

The source stressed the prohibition of impersonating any of the titles of practicing or practicing health professions or using publicity means in this, without obtaining a license from the competent authority, in order to protect the public health of members of society and to establish professional standards and the reliability of practitioners of this aspect, and that committing any of this requires criminal accountability. .
